I had someone come out and check on my unit earlier today and he said my compressor was blown out. Believe me.... if I could of I would of jerry-rigged that mutha like a poor mes'cin that I am to squeeze a little more life out of it. NO SUCH LUCK! R.I.P A/C UNIT..... Tomorrow she gets replaced and hauled away.

turn everything on. then walk outside to the unit thingy, and note if the fan is turning. is it not turning, but loud noise coming from unit? if fan is turning, is hot air coming out the top? are there frozen pipes going into it. im trying to prevent you from getting ripped off. print this and check stuff off. then let john-john know.

However, I checked for frozen pipes last night....... negative

Today the guy that checked the unit cleaned it making sure there was good air flow, the fan turns but the pump was hot and still blowing hot air.

The unit is 20 years old too.... I'm guessing thats considered old?
