"Free Credit Report.com" is bullshiat!

Had a friend get suckered in. Its a scam, cost money and hits youre credit score from what I hear on their "Monitoring."

i just called to cancel....they "don't have me in their system...."

I told the guy if I get charged next month since I've been a paying customer for 3 months, he's gonna have a lawyer up his ass...I assume my membership will be magically found within the next few minutes.

By law you're required one free credit report each year, I use annualcreditreport.com and I've done it for about 3 years now. It's not a scam, doesn't cost money unless you choose optional services and they even helped me dispute a few things on my credit with success!!

i'll take a look at it...I like the ability to at least see whats going on with my own friggen account history...I don't think I should have been charged for it, but I needed to have it readily available so I paid for it.

annualcreditreport.com accesses all 3 crediting companies too.. you can print the reports so you have copies.. I've suggested it to many and they've all agreed it's a good resource

You should keep in mind that if you get a credit check more than once per year, it will affect your credit score negatively. It should only be done if absolutely neccessary. (getting mortgages and loans etc.)

The more enquiries into your credit report made by companies or just you checking your credit rating goes against your score.
