Sure, it's a .22 but it is good for shooting small game, super lightweight, easy and compact to store, and the stock can double as a boat paddle if necessary.

Also, Sam and Andy has some excellent long term food supplies for food banking. The stuff that they have I think has a shelf life of 25 years. I seriously think I'm gonna go ahead and get enough stuff for Sassy and me to eat for over a year. I definitely think something bad enough to have this will happen in the next 25 years, probably much sooner. I guess it is better to get it while it is cheap right now because as gas goes up, so will the price. $1,600 now will be $10,000 in another 10 years.

Yeah ive fired that rifle, and it is everything it is advertised to be. get one now!!! think each .22 shell is a meal

The only other guns I would want besides the US Survival .22 is a good semi-auto 12 guage, a 20 guage for bird hunting anything the size of pheasant, quail, dove, or grouse, but would need a 12 guage for ducks and geese. The last time I bought a brick of 22 shells, I think I paid 10 dollars. So.....a half a penny per meal?

Oh, I still need an AK, which I've been meaning for a couple of years to buy but haven't. I may go ahead and get a .303 Lee Enfield since they are cheap and incredibly accurate, but finding ammo is a pain. I doubt I'll get anymore pistols. Pistols don't serve a great purpose unless it is close and the pistol isn't too big. Any caliber larger than a 357 is a waste and far too expense for ammo.

I'm pretty stocked, but nothing wrong with hording. I really do need a few more guns, but if I go back to the farm, I'd have all the guns and more than I'd need.

A great book to pick up used since they don't publish it anymore is Survival Guns by Mel Tappan.

Is he the guy that explains how to machine all the parts of a gun from rifles to shotguns and boring the barrels? I'm pretty sure that I have a couple of his books. I think he is a competitive rifleman and competitive shotgunner.
