I have my furniture on craigslist and I got an email yesterday from someone stating he was interested if they were still available. I emailed him back and said they were and asked him when he could come look at.

Well this is the reply I got this afternoon, "I appreciate your response to my enquiry. Am interested in buying it from you. I would love to come and check it myself but I just got married and am presently on an honeymoon trip to Hawaii with my wife. Pls do withdraw ,with immediate efftect, the advert from Web as i dont mind adding $50 for you to do that, so i can be rest assured that the item is held for me. I should believe it is in good condition as stated. I will be making the payment via a Certified Check, which my secretary will mail across to you. I'll be picking the item from you with the aid of my mover. My Mover will be coming to pick it from you once the Certified Check has been cashed.
Pls I will need both your full name and physical address to issue out the payment. "

I'm so excited and anxious to sell my furniture I wasn't thinking and I replied to him letting him know this plan of his would have to come together by Friday cause I will be moving and gave him my address. Now as I sit here thinking about it I am really hoping I don't get freakin robbed or something. It just seems a little suspicious to me ... maybe I'm just paranoid. I guess it would be kind of stupid to rob someone in an apartment building, it looks like a house, but there are 3 units total here... maybe Hollister will become an attack dog, and again, maybe I'm really just freakin' paranoid?!?!?

So what do you guys think, is it just me or does it seem a little odd?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He is a scammer, the same thing almost happend to me. I got an e-mail that sounded just like that. It is a fake cashiers check, and after you cash it, a couple weeks later they will notify you and YOU will have to payback the money. Whats gonna happen is, he will "accidently" send you to much money. So you will keep your cut, and a little extra for the troubles and send the rest back to him. That way he gets to keep the cash and you get stuck with the bill once the bank finds out it was a fake check.

Okay now I am a little worried. The guy about the furniture offered me $50 more to take the listing off etc...

My rings are listed as well... I got an email yesterday asking if they were still available to which I replied.. now I just received this regarding my rings.. something to keep in mind, I listed them at $700...

"Hi, Thanks for your response to my inquiry. If you want to sell it now I'm willing to offer $750. I can pay you right now with a Certified Check, I won't be able to come look at it, due to the nature of my profession, and there short notice traveling jobs, I had to leave town and will be back in a week or two so I'll forward your details to my client to make the my payment payable to you in order not to delay. Can I have your contact info ( full name and address ) with phone number to proceed with payment. It will be sent to you via UPS courier next day delivery. I will arrange for pick up by UPS Courier as soon as you confirm cleared funds you dont have to worry about shipping. Regards."

I emailed the asshole and told him not to bother sending a check, I knew it was a scam. We'll see what happens... if he sends one do I just throw it out??

I don't know how to do all that.. I deleted their email addresses too.. fuck'um, worthless bastards.. if I wanted to be scammed I'd just send Dagar $20. Shit!
