I bought a fantastic and classic dobro guitar today....

It actually isn't a dobro since a dobro is a brand name, but this is a hand made resonating slide guitar and a very unique one at that. Out of hundreds of this style made, only two of them had an abilone inlay of a broken heart, and I have one of them. This one was tailor made for a semi-well-know bluegrass musician. I have a relative who knows Bill Monroe and all of the old bluegrass guys and he showed the guitar to me and told me it was for sale. It is full mahogany with an untreated ebony fretboard. My cousin played some Louisiana slide blues licks on the guitar and it sounded incredible. Now I have a new instrument to learn. I also need to learn an open G tuning since this sucker is tuned to an alternate tuning that I'm not used to.
