Wieners....the movie DVD review........

After the movie Walk Hard, I thought it would be difficult for someone to come out with a movie for a long time that would make me laugh that hard and walk away with quotes too. Later, Strange Wilderness came out and I got a good laugh at that one, but the movie Wieners really surprised the crap out of me. It wasn't as good as Walk Hard, but definitely funnier than Strange Wilderness which I think is a good compliment to the movie.

Anyway, Dr Dwayne (Darrell Hammond from SNL) plays a TV self help psychologist who just happens to talk like and act like Dr Phil with a brutal mean streak that shoots kids with BB guns on stage. Dr Dwayne humiliates Joel (the main character) on one of his shows and gets his girl friend to break up on air with Joel....see, Joel is a Yale grad that works at a bowling alley and got passed up for promotion and that made his g/f angry. Joel and his two best friends from childhood decide to take the wiener-mobile (sort of an Oscar Mayer wiener wagon in a way) cross country to kick Dr Dwayne's ass. They end up running into all sorts of freaks on their trip cross country such as a team of Tofu eating hippies who are violent douchebags and one of the hot hippy chicks hocks and spits loogies on people. They then run into an elderly or retired couple travelling cross country who like having sex in front of people and get it on while on the road and making the crew sick. Then there is Jenny McCarthy, the hot 6th grade teacher they all had a crush on and they decide to hook up with her in New Mexico where she decided to retire. Jenny ends up being a tequila guzzling freak who has to find left over cigarettes in her tangled hair to relight and has a boxer that licks her coochie at the dinner table. That is just a very light explanation of all of the funny scenes in the movie.

This isn't a movie just worth renting, I'm gonna buy it and watch it when I need a good laugh.
