Are UPS really bad?

An order I placed with an American company (I am in the UK) was shipped by them on the 29th May. The tracking number link now says "Your item left the United States from ***** on June 18, 2008." How long is that? About 15 working days just to get the package on a plane! Piss poor I think.

Short answer: Yes, they suck.

I've had expensive packages left on my doorstep, even though they required a signature.
