Coverdale rocked brother. In college, I was like Frank the Tank from the movie Old School. I rocked as loud as I could to the music of Whitesnake.

Judas Priest released a new album recently too. I think Judas Priest is considered the number 2 greatest influence on metal bands with Black Sabbath as the number one band to have the greatest influence. Number 3 is Iron Maiden and number 4 is Lemmy and Motorhead. Lemmy was definitely a very progressive musician since his bass was so unique with the powerchords that no bassists had ever done before. The only other band I can think of that has a comparably unique bass sound that is similar to Motorhead is the band Hatebreed.

well someone told lemmy actually is a guitar player and it shows in his bass playing too. anyway a truly great band , lemmy is one cool martha you know what....
judas p was not among my heroes in my youth . only recently I have found out they were not that bad . iron maiden , black sabbath , led zepp , deep purple ahhh those were the days

yap. he replaced Ian Gillan . roger glover the bassist called it guits as well and he was replaced by a brilliant musician / bassplayer glenn hughes . both around same time around 74-75 or so.
