Actualy, the opposite is true. Yes they have a chronic hunger problem, due to the decrease in birthrate mortality, from western medicine. However,50% of theyre food comes from subsistence farming, whereas we in the west are entirely dependent on foreign oil to truck, train, and barge our food to us.

Pretty much as john says... any kind of blockade in the Straits of Hormuz will put the hurts on us. You'll see food riots in a matter of days.

Our entire western civilization is built on cheap oil.....

Lets not forget the trains. The majority of the food in this country moves by rail thru a single railyard in chicago. 20 megatons= no trains. Even at a slightly elevated rate of consumption, once the trains stop... three days. No food. From age eight ive been studying Nuclear survival.

Well, Russian in their zeal have targeted railway junctions, coal fields, bridges, you name it. They have their primary, secondary and tertiary targets all lined up.

And I suspect that many of their silos have the ability to "reload".... holding more than one missile....
