The chinese have never, and will never make empty threats. They do what they say, and say what they do. The specific dialog went something like this: Our guy said "Do you like Taiwan?" to which their guy replied "Do you like Los Angeles?"

As Evil Overlord my world would be free to an extent. I say "to an extent" because total freedom tends to lean toward anarchy. Even when people consider their rights to privacy, I would challenge anyone to find that particular right in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. People tend to attribute that right to the first amendmenat, but it issn't there.

Also, there are stipulations to the first amendment to keep the world from becoming anarchist. There is never a true freedom.

Actualy, we GAVE them the W88 warhead. Why? Environmentalism.-So they would retire their aging cobalt bombs. You see the chinese strategy for dealing with the soviet threat, was radiological warfare. Drop medium -yield cobalt doped warheads, east of each industrial target, so that the prevailing winds would carry a cloud of death over said target, leaving the infrastructure intact for sino expansion. The only problem was, It would kill, at the verry least, everything in the northern hemisphere (some computer models suggested). So in hindsight, not a bad move.
