A bit of a segway here, but Punk Funk is cool too. The first punk funk CD I bought was Fishbone's CD "Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the Center of the Universe."

I consider the Violent Femmes a punk group. Where I live, these guys play an alley concert every summer behind a bar. It's great. You walk out to the alley with a beer, jam, get a refill at the bar, walk back out and jam some more. A couple of years ago, .38 Special did a concert on a bridge a couple miles from my house.
