What do the stars mean??

I'm having a difficult time deciphering what the intent of the stars below everyone's name on this site. Some have one star while others have many, and it appears that it's not based on post count, so what the heck is it for? Also why are some stars colored and others aren't? Also, what's the deal with the phrases below the stars (i.e. junior member, bodybuilder, scammer, banned, etc...) If someone is banned then they shouldn't be able to post, right? What makes someone get their phrase changed?

so you mean the more you post daily, or in a certain time compared to others? cause ive seen someone with only 12 or so posts that had a about 8 grey stars....

Who has 8 grey stars with 12 posts? Are you sure you aren't smoking something? I've seen stars after a pulling on a big torpedo like Cheech -n- Chong roll.

OK, so Haz has like 14 blue stars (with over 5,900 posts) and Spook has 7 blue stars (with over 14,000 posts). So how does the number of posts matter again? Also why are some stars gray and some stars blue? And why do some people have some blue AND some gray stars? Is there a rule or sticky or chart that explains the meaning of these things?

Some people aren't permanently banned so you may see them come back after 30 days and post again.

Looks like fuzzy math if you counted 14 stars on mine....lol
