Default No bags in the workout area

So I work out at LA Fitness. I'm 3/4 through my workout when I look on the wall and see a sign saying no bags of any kind in the workout areas. WTF Really? Funny thing is they sell gym bags. I'm just waiting for them to say something about my bag then I'm going to politely ask them to pull up my account and tell me the date I'm paid up to. I plan to tell them that will be the last day me and the bad will be in the workout area. I'm sure some pencil neck turd walking around looking at everyones balls tripped over a bag and hurt his vagina so now there's a new policy.

There is a guy who carries two large chains in his bag. Probably 6-8 feet long each and a good 1 1/2 round. I'm going to ask him to just drag them in one day and leave them all spred out on the floor. I'm sure one of the douchebags working there will say something and I hope he tells them they used to be kept in his fuking gym bag.

Florida, I own a gym, this an insurance thing.we are not suppose to allow it, but I do. The sign is coming from the attorneys, as it seems you can't do anything without them sticking their nose in it.

They said it to me. I said no worries I'll just leave my towel, figure 8 wraps, drink bottle and maybe a weight belt sprawled out on the floor instead of in a small bag haha. They only tried a few times but nobody listened!
I'd rather be riding my motorbike thinking about god than sitting in church thinking of my motorbike. Amen to that!

    LOL....

I'm sure it is insurance related but like jonnyboy said it keeps everything nice and tidy and IMO much safer. It sure is easier to see a gym bag then it is a weight lifting belt. Hell there are weights left on the floor all the time, they only pick them up is at closing.

Weights left on the floor would not be tolerated where I train. And there are some very big boys in there. i guess I'm getting to be one of the big boys now at 253. but we are all pretty respectful of the gym and each other.
And we carry our bags in the weight room with us, just place them off in a corner somewhere.

And that right there is how it should be. I always tuck my bag up close to the bench or whatever I'm on so it isn't out in anyone's way. I notice most everyone else does the same thing. The ones that leave weights on the bar or on the floor are generally the same little pucks that only come in once a week or so. There are far more issues then gym bags they can complain about. Like those little hotties dressed in suggestive clothes. That sh*t right there is the real hazard...

yeah i used to get pissed about them getting on to me in my gym about the bag thing but now after being there for some years and seeing all the equipment that dissappears i appreciate it. Man its unreal how much shit has dissappeared from cable attachments to dumbell sets. And the shitty part is some of it they dont even bother getting it replaced, i just ordered a handle for doing t-bar rows and when i leave it fucking goes with me till the next time i come back to do back and bis.

Especially if your wife is with you at the gym.
My wife has gone with me twice in a row now. I do hope she makes a habit of it, it will benefit her health-wise in the long run. But I do have to be very cautious when some sweet young thing comes up to ask me how to do this or how to use that peice of equipment.
