So will you still lose weight if all your carbs are high GI?

When you are on a calorie deficit and all your carbs are high GI does one lose weight guys? Let us say consider a 200lbs guy . For cutting he has to eat roughly around 2400 cals right? and out of this 240 gms of carbs is what he needs( I'm assuming that he is on a 40/40/20 diet) to eat ......so suppose all the carbs are high GI....what happens? Does he still lose weight? and what are the effects it will have on one's health?

...always going to cause weight loss. High GI carbs will effect insulin levels, but combining them with Fat and Protein at the same feeding can help to moderate this spike. If you can eat Lower GI please do, however the Higher Gi foods when coupled with Fat and Pro, will be OK.

...but all carbs whether complex or simple are broken down to sugar by the body. Carbs are Carbs if you will. As long as you aren't over-eating and if you are getting enough dietary fiber through supplementation, simple carbs are not all that different. Simple sugars alone will spike insulin, but as we discussed above Fat & Protein will temper that effect some. I cannot imagine how you could only have access to simple carbs alone, but if that is the case you should still be fine. Poverty in India aside, you do own a computer. Sell it if you have to and get some Yams and Whole grains with your profits

been doing.. Okay you want lose the weight... Good go for it, but you neeed those high GI carbs for post workout. What does your diet look like???? Posted it and maybe people can help... I am cutting and the only time I take in carbs that are high GI is after a workout, your body needs these and you must replace them after your trainning..... Also what kind of sups do you take their are many that can help with the loss... Do a search on ALA

if they're hi GI you'll probably LOSE MORE MUSCLE THAN FAT...

simple sugars create higher slin spikes, halting fat loss....

eat complex carbs, EXCEPT post workout shake, u want a slin spike to combat cortizone and shuttle nutrients into muscle......

Dude....I have no poverty problem man...Just wanted to know what effect it would have ......since most people say your carbs should be low GI other than post workout I mean ...I just wanted to know what would happen if it was the other way around....That's it.....and I'm certain I dont need diet help.....it was just one of those unanswered questions in my head

High G.I. carbs like white rice, potatoes, or even worse...candy are digested quite quickly meaning a quick surge of sugar in the blood stream causing insulin spikes. Your body will utilize exactly what your body needs at that moment and anything in excess following a large slin spike becomes fat.

However, with lower G.I. carbs such as green vegetables, they digest more slowly, keeping the insulin levels much lower and slowly utilizing the glucose taken from them without wasting the excess. Think of lower G.I. carbs as time-release carbohydrates in a fashion.
