Cardio Induced Capillary Growth

Do any of you have experience using cardio to induce capillary growth in your arms?

While doing sprints, I thought I would try doing something else instead of jogging/walking to cool down between sprints, so I used the torso sprint (upper body cycling). As a result I received the most painful pump I have ever felt while working out. Remembering an article on the usefullness of cardio while working out I thought I would supplement this type of training during my cardio days as an experiment.

The results?

Increased muscle hardness in biceps/triceps, half inch growth on my arms in 4 weeks.

I would guess that there is an extreme oxygen deficit created by following the sprints with the upperbody conditioning.

Protocol:

3 minutes upperbody sprint alternating pulling and pushing every 30 seconds

60 seconds walking followed by sprints immediately starting the cycle again.

is very underestimated. After your anearobic exercises that you go heavy with, pick a weight you can do 50-60 reps with. I remember an article in a mag (maybe MM or MD??) about hitting all areas of growth.

For example, on bench you would do

3x5 reps for strength
2x8-12 for hypertrophy
1-2x50-60 reps for capillary growth.

I did this for a couple weeks (about 2yrs ago) and did notice some good growth on my chest. Damn that burn though... painful as hell.

my gym doesnt have a torso sprint. Any other ideas, or will the bench routine be enough? If you both noticed size differences, my question would be did you notice any strength differences?

from pushing/pulling a sled, or any movement that doesn't have an eccentric load on your tri/bi's.
