Default carbs and when

what kind of carbs should i be eating on a mass cycle havent used yet just trying to do a bunch of homework. some examples and when in the day to eat them would be great thank you.

Default Mostly the more complex carbs.

Post training, you can use simple carbs like dextrose, all other times eat stuff like red potatos, yams, long grain rice, etc. Take in most carbs at breakfast, with a post training shake, and your solid post training meal. Cut back on them later in the day as your activity level wanes and stay away from them completely near bed time.

this may sound stupid but whats dextrose and whats some examples of all kind s of the diffrent kinds of carbs thanks for all the help.

Default Dextrose is a very simple sugar...

that's included in certain supps, etc., and is ideal to use post workout. Muscle glycogen stores are depleted following a workout. Thus, mixing dextrose, whey isolate, and creatine into a post workout shake can do wonders. The dextrose(a simple sugar/carb) spikes natural insulin levels. The insulin released in response shuttles the sugar into the glycogen starved muscles and pulls the protein and creatine into the muscles as well. All of this does wonders for post workout recovery and repair. The trick is to take this cocktail immediately post workout. This is why post workout is the only time you want to use simple sugars. Any other time, and the resulting insulin spike will likely just make you fat.

The carbs you take at other times should be more complex. That is slower burning and not disposed to spiking insulin. Click the link below. You will see some foods arranged by how they rate on the glycemic index. The higher the GI ranking, the simpler the carb. The simple carbs are responsible for those really fast and violent ol' insulin spikes. lol. Generally, you want to stick with clean foods that rank below 50 on the GI. The foods in that link show foods color coded. In most cases, eat from the green list, in rare cases, you can eat from the yellow. Say where potatos (dry) are concerned (avoid white potatos). Avoid simple carbs (like those in the red list) except for that post cycle cocktail with dextrose. I hope that helps.
