Default Lost 5 lbs in a day!

My main goal being to shed a little fat so my abs will show, I decided to start watching what I eat. I just weighed myself, and I'm down to 170, while I was at 175 just 24 hours ago. My day went like this...

Woke up at 9, and had 1/2 serving of Pro Complex, oatmeal, and a banana. Went to the gym to lift. Came home, and had another 1/2 serving of Pro Complex.

At 11:40 had lunch 1, which consisted of 3 slices of ham and 1 slice American cheese on white bread (I know white bread sucks, but there's never any good food in this house).

Around 1:00 I ran an intense mile on the treadmill.

At 2:30 I had lunch 2: 3 scrambled eggs.

4:45 was dinner, where I had 3 large pieces of steak and some funky potato salad that probably wasn't so good of a choice.

At 9:30 I had a small can of salmon.

Throughout the day I drank at least one gallon of water, probably a decent amount more. I'm sure I won't shed the weight this fast everyday, but it's a good start. Hopefully I'll be getting rid of the weight in the right place (my stomach) instead of the places where I worked so hard to put it on.

it was probably water and the runs to the bathroom...

water shedding can be up to 10lbs. in the first week of dieting, then it tapers off to almost no water losses

Default one other thing to remember

your morning weight on an empty stomach is your truest weight. I can weigh myself at 9pm and the next morning I weigh about 5 lbs less too. Keep in mind that you should weigh yourself first thing in the mornings because as the day goes on, the food in you and the extra water that you will retain during the day will fluctuate a little and throw off your weight that you should be.

Yes, 5 pounds in one day would have to be water and contents of the GI tract. Scale weight is BS anyway, though - it's the gravitational pull of your body to the earth. The only thing you should pay mind to is washing your clothes on your abs a bit better every week. Smile
