ALA Major Confussion About Carb Up

Ok so during a Carb Up, the point behind it is to spike insulin levels with High GI carbs. ALA works by keeping insulin levels from spiking. So why is it said to take ALA with your Carb up meals, doesn't it counteract the point of eating the High GI carbs? I'm hella confused.

the ALA keeps the carbs from being stored as fat and pushes them into your muscles. the reason for the carb up is to replenish the glycogen stores in muscles and liver that have been depleted from CDK and also i believe helps put your metabolism.

X or anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong about this.

Yes but Insulin Spike is what you are looking for. ALA stops that from happening.

I've read a lot of stuff that says when your glycogen is depleted after a workout, the insulin spike will help store more fuel in the muscle promoting hypertrophy. I have not had good results with insulin. Ever since I have started the CKD though and taking ala with my postworkout zero carb shake, I have saw changes happen really fast. I can't say ehough for the CKD diet. It is the shit. VERY HARD but it is well worth it!
