I think a bulking diet full of fruit and very low on fats is not the best idea. For:
1) fat-starvation, as I call it, can lead to long term fat gain especially when fat is added back to the diet 2) lack of fat intake can be very unhealthy in the short and long term. 3) fruits (fructose) is stored in the liver - once the liver is full (about 150g) then all the fructose is stored as fat - especially with so much fruits and carbs in the diet 4) the meal combinations are not adequate Overall, I this if one was to cut out the massive amounts of fruits and add more fiber and quality protein and some Omega fats - the diet would be great. What mechanisms are/are not triggered by a reduced fat intake (fat starvation)?
I've read some of the benefits of fat; for example the uncoupling effect of olive oil on protein. I've heard others claim that all the you are better off just consuming 15+grams of CLA per day. What do you think about the concepts of eating proteins that assimilate at different rates in each meal, and not eating protein with a meal comprised of a large amount of complex carbs? I agree, it is a lot of fruit; I attempted just 2 fruits a meal, and my system pretty much said that wasn't going to work. I've been rotating meals - pro/fat, pro/carb, using some fruit and some veggies as my carb sources except post workout. Post workout I drink 25 grams of pro, wait 30 min or so and have a meal with complex carbs only. I have to admit, it's nice to be eating fruit again; I had only been eating 1 apple a day; eating a banana and a few raisins/dried apricots in addition to the apple has been a nice change.

I don't see how that's an innovation by our friend here. Eating large complex carb meals is not good in the first place - carbs are carbs iMO. However, quality proteins and digestion rate are another thing - hard to figure out and prove.
