Mr.X what's you point of view on Digestive aids ?

I currently use Ginger Root Caps from the afstore, but still I feel my gut during the day is balooned quite easily. It's funny, with a shirt my gut looks like it's hanging out infront of my chest (even though I'm quite ripped!).. If I flex my abs, they are very ripped.

Maybe take Bromelin/Papayin on every meal?

I've been having the same problem, no matter what I eat my gut inflates like crazy, specially with protein shakes with ANPB.

SO True!

I'm going to take a photograph of myself tomorrow morning
on empty stomach and then one hour later after ANPB meal with protein so people can see the huge difference. I'm going to the health store now, so maybe I might find some digestive aids there. this tummy with abs is really funny.

There are a few supplement companies out there who do make certain digestive aids (Solaray is one of them). Acidophilus is one enzyme that does wonders in aiding digestion, but Solaray makes one particular blend of enzymes that is geared toward protein diets called "Super Digestaway." There are some supplements out there that can help in the bloated feeling department, but not in the looks department. The looks will still depend on training and dieting. There are still more things to it though.

I always experience some serious stomach bloating after I eat. It happens even when the meal only contains fat and protein and almost no carbs, so it's not a gluten issue or something.

It's quite funny. Look at my avatar and see my chiseled abs. However, after I eat, my stomach baloons to extremes and it appears like I'm a couch potatoe with a gut bulging out of the pants and shirt (I'm not exaggerating)

It doesn't give me any stomach discomfort, pain or exessive gas, just ruins my visual appearnace and makes me go with my abs contracted all the time (lol)

I was in the health store today and bought some stuff, I'm going to take measurements of my stomach first thing in the morning without the supplements on empty stomach and also after meal with supplements to measure the difference if any.

Note that I also take GlucorellR with every meal(even a 5g carb meal) and also take Ginger Root caps (afstore) yet it's still not enough and stomach baloons.

I bought a product that called 'Digestive Aid Modulators', each capsule contains the following:

Carb Digestize Enzymes:
Amylase Enzyme: SKBU 2600
Lactase: LU 2600
Cellulase: CU 1040
Alpha Glactucidase: AGSU 1000
Amyloglucocidase: AGU 20

Protein Digestize Enzymes:

Lipase LU 5200 (Do I need it?!?!?!?)

The label says it's recommended to take 1-2 tabs with each meal.
What do you think?

The guy from the health store also adviced me to try taking a product called Dophilus EPS (http://www.jarrow.com/products/JarroDophEPS.htm)
He gave me 4 caps from his own personal stash to try out:

Are you sure it isn't the R-ALA?

There's no point in wasting it on meals with fewer than 30 grams of carb anyway, so you may want to go ahead and experiment and remove the R-ALA from the fat/pro meals, and see if it may be the culprit.

MMmm.. thanks... You think it could be the r-ALA? Never thought of that. Probably too worried about carbs getting stored as fat so I always pop r-ALA also to lower insulin response further. So r-ALA can cause that?? I'm going to experiment tomorrow moring with some measurements.

Honestly, there's just not enough info on R-ALA to know different ways people may react to it. People on the boards are using a lot of R-ALA, and will be the first to hit issues. With constanst use, there may be a systematic build-up that could cause intestional issues, which is why I would at least take the time to rule it out.
