Default Confusion about CKD.

Ok I'v ebeen looking into the CKD to lean up and I used the worksheet. But it comes out a little weird.


CKD Worksheet by: Mr. X


Day BMR Cal/day Fat Grams Protein Grams Carb Grams
1 2850 269 107 Less Than 20 Grams

2 2700 225 169 Less Than 20 Grams

3 2550 184 223 Less Than 20 Grams

4 3000 233 195 Less Than 20 Grams

5 2700 210 202 Less Than 20 Grams

6 2550 184 223 Less Than 20 Grams

(Carb Up)
7 3900 43 195 682



Now heres the deal: That is way less protein than I've ever eaten on a cutting diet and I am very concerned about catabolism.
Is the worksheet screwed up or is 250 lb BB really supposed to eat that little protein?

Low protein is required to keep you in ketosis; the ketogenic state in itself is anti-catabolic, so anything that takes you out of it would be counter productive. In this case, high protein intake will be converted at about 50-56% rate to glucose; thus, the lower the protein the better - as long as it is w/in limits to allow for gluconeogenesis.

I thought that ketosis was mainly a product of carbs. So on day one I am supposed to eat close to 300 grams of fat and a little more than 100 grams of protein? That just seems off to me.

The small amount of protein and large amount of fats seem very weird to me.
