ckd = cheese brats........

Alright I am on day 8 of my ckd. I have discovered the almighty goodness of cheese brats (24gm/fat, 2gm/carb). This must be the perfect food for CKD. Also, atkins makes some awesome 2carb peanut butter cups that are helping to fight sweets craving. Thought Id share this.

do not forget the hidden carbs like glycerol and sugar alcohols - consider them carbs

Watch out for a lot of those sausages and brats. I thought they were great, but after doing a little more research I found that a lot of the national brands had citric acid as a preservative. Read the ingredients carefully!
