what helps lower it?
I'm eating my oatmeal every day, etc.

I also heard a while back that ldex raises cholesterol - anyone know about this?

eat fiber
-I suggest at least 30-40 external g fiber per day

30min cardio - low-instensity 4-5 x per week

hmm. I've been taking fiber in my shakes, but it's only 3grams per serving(1 tbl spoon).
any recommendations on fiber that I don't have to eat a whole can of every day?

- you think I'll ever get off the poit with that much fiber?

Hi Web, I've had high total cholesterol my whole life, although my doctor never pestered me about it because my HDL was also very high. Nevertheless, I tried all the fiber cures for a few years...and then the niacin cure...but my total cholesterol numbers remained high.

Then last year I started using that Benecol margarine. Also I added flax oil (and/or UDO's oil), and more nuts and olive oil to my diet...oh and some fish oil supplements too. When my cholesterol was checked last December, it was down to 180!!! I couldn't believe it. I think my highest number had been 240.
