Default Need Help on diet.

Its been a long time since I have been back to this forum, but as always you all have some nice discussions going on! I have been so busy and not able to get anything done in terms of a diet that works for me. I have about a month before I head to the Carib with my girl and I would love to drop about 15 pounds! I dont know if this is realistic but I do have quite a bit of weight on me. I am very interested in Mr. X's ANPB diet you all are talking about but I dont really understand how it works - would like some more info! I am open to all suggestions though. Here are my vitals:

6'4", about 230-235lbs, bf? but high


Would appreciate your thoughts on my best option given the circumstances.

ANPB is simple.....You eat a certain # of servings of PB (measuring spoons full, or you can put it on some celery), you eat however many servings your supposed to of the ANPB, and you drink how ever many servings of extra protein that it tells you....Thats it! lol Simple

Since you've been away for a while, it might be wise to start slow. First, try doing a balanced diet w/ maybe 40%p/30%c/30%f wx12 then you can move on to a ANPB diet.

Thanks for the reply's guys. One thing I always seem to have a problem with is eating enough calories when I try to slim down. My days usually consits of protien shake (40g) at breakfast & lunch along with toast or oatmeal for breakfast and maybe a tuna sandwich or meat sandwich for lunch and then a balanced dinner but sometimes the dinner is crappy.

How many meals should I eat while dieting?
How many snacks between meals, and what?
Should I weight my carbs more to the early part of the day and then taper off?
How many calories given my weight should I be eating to lose weight?
When you say 30% fat, all from foods or supplements as well?

I like all kinds of food so any suggestions are most welcome!

I really need to fine tune what I am eating but I am confused on those things!

Lotta questions but heres my best answers till Mr.X can confirm them:

How often to eat? Most people reccomend 6 meals on average a day due to the metabolic requirments and so on to digest the food it in a sense spikes your metabolism by eating more instead of eating a standard breakfast lunch dinner diet.


to snacks:
Really depends, some people like 6 well split meals while others like 3 moderately large meals then a snack in between

For example: a 300 calorie steak then 2 hours later eat a handful of nuts which is 150 calories (just an example)

To the carb meals, MOST people do reccomend carbs earlier in the day due to carbs=energy and unused energy is stored as fat, well most people dont need energy to sleep since the glycogen in the liver is used as opposed to carbohyrdates you eat.

Now, as I understand it there have never been studies to prove its better to eat carbs earlier on (correct me if im wrong) However, logically it makes sense that earlier carbs eaten = less stored as fat.

To lose weight most people recommend 10 - 11x your bodyweight, however, at 6'4 and 230 lbs ide PROBALY reccomend near 2500 since, at 6'4 I must imagine you are pretty well built judging by your weight. Now, your BMR tends to vary some by age so I really cant give you 100% accuracy however, I think 2500 should be a good starting point and see how your results are at that.

To the Fat: What supplements have fat really? The only supplements I know that have fat really are Fish oil tablets and protein shakes, both of which shouldnt contain much (well unless your taking like 20 tablets)

Thanks a ton man, and as for my age I am 22yrs old. And yea, I was referring to Fish Oils like Flax Oil for extra fats. I am well built, very broad shoulders and big legs. Appreciate the help.
