Default ANPB - And then what?

In week 2 of the ANPB, and down 8 pounds. I'll continue for another 4-6 weeks, hopefully, but here's the question:

I don't think I can live on this ANPB for the rest of my life, and as it pretty extreme, what is the rec diet afterwards? I've done CKD's before but they also seemed unrealistic. Maybe there's somewhere on this site that someone (X?) has written about finding a diet or way of eating for life, once you've reached a weight you're comfortable with through 'hardcore' diets like the ANPB, where you're not counting macronutrients for every meal...

Any thoughts?

Due to the ability of your body to adapt to ketosis within 3-4 weeks, I would suggest you stay on the ANPB diet for about 4 week. Then to shock your metabolic rate, get on a 50%protein/3o%carbs/20%fat wx14; after about 6 weeks, you can ease into a CKD for about 12 weeks or whatever time it takes for you to reach your goals.

Thanks, X - I'll follow that, which should last me the next couple of months. It's the CKD part afterward that's tough. Is there no such thing as "just eating right" once you're at a set weight, or do you think you've always got to be counting p/c/f, pre-planning meals, etc.?

It really depends on what you define as "eating right". I suggest keeping a log of your food whether you're on a diet or not, simply due to the fact that you'll be able to see what you're eating/why/when etc...

To answer your question directly: if you get really lean, it's possible to stay on a healthy balanced diet w/o a problem, but most individuals w/o a log end up overeating and losing the shape the worked for so hard.
