Well now what? (shoulder injury)

The results of my MRI are in, I have tendonitis in my left shoulder. I have been ordered to no upper-body training until I have completed physical therapy.

I will be training like this until I can do upper body again:

Mon/Thurs
Squats
Leg Press
Leg Curls
Reverse Leg Curls
Standing Calves
Seated Calves
Abs

I was in the proccess of cutting, but now I have no idea if I should just try to keep cutting or keep my cals up and lose as little muscle as possible.... what do you guys think? The extra free time might be used for cardio... but I'm really worried about muscle loss at the same time..

lots of glutamine and creatine and any other anti-catabolic you can think of, and use the time to cardio cardio cardio.

Well now you know what you're dealing with...wishing you a speedy recovery and a good dose of patience. Did the doc give you an estimate of the recovery time?

Nope, he said it's completely up to the PT's. He said it could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months

Bad thing for u but with patience( and lots of phys.therapy + rehab perhaps) you will survive. I´ve had my share of shoulder problems so I´ve been there!
If I were you I would really focus on what u can do; legs . abs and lots of cardio. Since legs are the basic thing of all strength it would be a wise move to really bring them up( and abs too).
However I would be really careful with squats( puts a lot of tension on shoulders too, keeping the bar stable) with a shoulder injury. But if it doesn´t hurt , no need to avoid them?
Keep your head up and filled with enthusiastic thoughts , since that helps too with recovery. Don*`t worry too much of losing muscle since once the shoulder is ok everything lost will be back rather soon ! Those muscles have somekind of memory and the rebuilding is much more easier and faster too. Good and speedy recovery!!!!!
