fructose before depletion workout?

According to Dan(BodyOpus), one should consume fructose before depletion workout because depleting while in ketosis is counter-productive and catabolic. I notice you did not recommend fructose in your CKD literature. What's your expert opinion?

Question 2:
Is it feasible for someone to CKD the rest of their life without incurring hypo-glycemic, low blood sugar, diabetes problems, etc...?

1) Yes, Dan was 100% correct - fructose before the workout will take you out of ketosis and allow for maximum glucose burning; however, a CKD and bodyopus are a little different. A CKD only has 1 day carb-up that's targeted towards the average joe, while a bodyopus is usually targeted towards the 2 day carb-up anabolic user. So basically w/ a CKD the fructose intake is not something you absolutely have to do, but you can add for your own sake.

2)Yes it's possible; after 3 weeks in a ketogenic state the body slows down the gluconeogenisis to an almost non-existant level and increases the use of FFA instead of ketones - adapting you to the diet.

I was wondering what you recommend to eat before a depletion workout. what are your opinions on performing the depletion workout on an empty stomach?

2 apples before a depletion workout - about 1 1/2 hours should completely take you out of ketosis.

Empty stomach is possible but not recommended due to the fact that you'll still be in ketosis.
