Default Mini Calorie Cycling

I was wondering what you thought about doing bunch of mini-cycles. I was thinking of cutting 500 below maintenence once every four days and the other 3 bulking 500 calories over maintenence. I'm thinking the metabolism might stay high and allow me to burn near regular calories as if I were to bulk straight.

My question is: Does this work in your opinion or would a longer cycle be a better choice? Or does it equal out?

I had a look at it. I think I'll stick to my mini-cycling for now. I'll drop in again with my results once I get them.

Couldn't the body then adjust to randomness? If your correct it sounds like a good idea. I was thinking with the mini-cycle that after 3 days the body might 'forget' each time giving me the benefit.

That's the whole point bro. Your body can't adjust to something it can't anticipate. I calorie cycled a few years ago. It, for me, was the best way to go. In fact, now that it has come up, I may switch back to it.

Yeah its sorta like buying a pet...If you come home with a dog one day, your family is surprised, but if the next pet u bring home is a dog, it's not as big of a deal....So the next time you have to bring home a monkey and shock them all!

But I did some protein/carb cycling a couple years ago when i was playing sports...its not bad at all...

...and if we keep bringing home strange pets at different times then the family will quickly get used to it and never be surprised at anything again. Thats the strongest kind of adaptation I know of: adapting to constant change.

I'll stick to straight cals.
