Flax Oil

i was going 2 get some flax oil at GNC but didnt because i wanted 2 ask u guys first...they dont keep it in the freezer..but it is in a dark container so im thinking it should b ok...

is it? or it has 2 b cold?

I would suggest going to a whole food store and getting one that has been properly handled; although the GNC product might be ok, I would suggest getting the best for your money.

"To be clear, MR definitely does not recommend "Udo's Choice" or similar oil blends. Unless you're on a truly weird diet (like, no meat, no grains, no soy, and Pritkinesque low-fat), you're already getting all the n6 you need; there is no need to deliberately supplement with the stuff. I do, however, recommend Flora flax oil, in part because Flora produces Udo's oil, & having read Udo's book I feel confident that, while he may be wrong on all kinds of facts & nutritional advice, he certainly has excellent standards for oil processing. It's hard to verify what has been done re: pressing times & temperatures, so I appreciate this semi-independent layer of oversight. Plus, it comes in glass, not plastic (the leaching of elasticisers & organochlorines from which concerns me) and -- until recently -- it USED to contain rosemary oil as a phenolic antioxidant (they took it out, alas, becauase of reports of allergic reactions)."

So go to your whole foods market, and buy Flora brand from the refrigerator case.
