One woman forever??

i have a buddy who just got engaged to the only girl he's ever dated.... dated since high school... i think 8 years.. they're both 25... the guy seems normal lol, been good friends since grade school, i'm standing up for his wedding........ deans honour roll... always had TONNES of girls after him yet he only turned them down one after another to stay faithful...

do you think he's missing out in life by being with only ONE girl???

i think he IS..... sure he might be 80 years old and feel proud to be so commited to one woman, but man ONE person? Like what the hell...

Do you see the sparks of old-fashioned Hollywood romantic love between them? Or is it all about "faithfulness" and "commitment?" If the romantic sparks are flying, there's nothing anyone can do to stop the delightful insanity, for as long as it lasts...and good for them.

If he has been with her in a dating relationship for 8 years, remained faithful to her all of this time, and now is marrying her, I don't see the problem for him. They should definitely know all the intimate details of each others' lives by now and the fact that they can still stand each other after an 8 year dating relationship, then maybe she really is the best person for him to spend the rest of his life with.

ya i guess you two are right....just to clarify i'm nothing but happy for them and would NEVER think about butting in the way of what people do, to each their own....... i just can't fathom the idea of living whole life only being with one person.....but i guess they can't fathom my ways of thinking.
