Is Gatorade Good for After Workout?

I am out of dextrose, and out of money to buy any. I was wondering if Gatorade woudl be good post workout, my parents buy it for my brother. Anything else I could have post workout in place of dextrose? BTW, I am cutting.

If you use whey protein,you get enough of an insulin response.You don't need any sugar.Especially if you are leaning out.

Isn't dextrose like 88 cents/lb? A gatorade will run you a buck something (at least in Canada) and will only provide 40-70 or so grams (455 g/lb from dextrose)...Maybe I'm just buying cheap dextrose .

Don't know about the prices there , but but I personally use a mix with some very cheap(cheap in Finland, outrageous price there) but good protein with a little dextrose added. I feel it's just good mix. I use dextrose during my all training(bb, ice hockey dry training, cycling etc).I really think it's good stuff...
But if not anything else is available why not gatorade for sometime... Still I think one needs protein too right after the workout.
