A couple more ANPB questions...

Is NAC & Milk Thistle okay to use for liver protection while on this diet? I usually use R-ALA, but I suppose that's a bad idea considering the lack of carbs on this diet.

I'll also be supplementing some psyllium husk powder for extra fibre, and was wondering, how much/how often I should take this. Is a teaspoon in each of my shakes enough? Are there any other fibre supplements I could take instead of the psyllium husk, as I was told it could actually act as an irritant to the colon with prolonged use. I just need something to help w/ bowel movements as low carb diets do a number on me.

I assume he means yes on liver protection,no on ala,yes on fiber.
I can't imagine why someone would say that psylium is an irritant to the colon,but that's news to me.I've used 30-40g every day for over 10 years,and I find having a nice big bowel movement basically "fall" out of my ass within seconds of sitting down preferable to straining to take a shit.Go figure...

yes that's fine, if anything it's beneficial

the Rala is good during the carb up, but not so good during the actual low-carb phase

I suggest you take fiber seperately, i.e. in the later afternoon and before bed

there are capsules from Metamucil you can take, I think they are called GREEN EARTH or something like that
