New and desperate!!!

HI there everyone! i need help!!!!! I am 5'5'' and about 95 lbs, 23 year old mother of a 4 year old, whose waste is one inch smaller than mine. I am ready for a grown up body!!!!
My husband is currently in Iraqi, and is growing by the day (as you can see by his pictures~truesoldier)! I am terrified that he is going to come home and suffocate me! I have always ate a lot of junkfood and drank a lot of soda. Nothing i ever did made me gain weight. Not even pregnancy!! Walked out of there wearing size 12(kids) to 1 in juniors. I have started to cut the junk out of my diet and start eating better balanced meals. I also started working out. I do an HST routine, that i have been doing for about 2 months. However, i am not getting any where. No weight, my bones still protrude through my skin ect...now my husband god love him will critique anyone, but wants me to go and look things up and talk to other people. Thus i turn to you. Is it to soon for results? Is there perhaps a different type of work out i should be doing? I know nothing about supplements, but if i took them, would want natural. I am hoping for some nice results by january when he returns. Any ideas out there??? Oh lets not forget ...i need better chest work outs!!!!????? all i do is incline bench and dips....anything better i could add to get better results?? If there are any great links or something, please share.

wow this is a problem to be honest that i've never had but i'm gonna copy this to the diet forum..i will say that in this case your diet will be most crucial to you reaching your goals.

Hey thank you so much! I really appreciate this. Here is my diet and i hope this helps...if you need more specifics, then please let me know. Breakfast usually consists of a bowl of oatmeal and a piece of toast with butter, water or propel to drink. Lunch, a sandwhich either tuna or peanut butter and jelly. (sometimes i can eat 1 and a half). I drink propel through the day. Dinner is usually something like 1 chicken breast (that i share with my daughter), green beans and mashed potatoes with butter or some sort of pasta and a pepsi. Before i go to bed i try to make sure i drink a banana milk shake, because i hate fruit and was told to eat ice cream before bed to gain weight??? Keep in mind i am super tiny, so my serving is probably about 1/2 to 3/4's of a normal serving size. Like 1 chicken breast i eat about 3/4s of, then about 1 cup of potatoes and 1//4 of green beans. AM snack usually yogurt and PM snack usually cashews. Thank you again for your help!!

when i first started to work out i was 6' & 150 lbs. i did the 6 meals a day diet. some fruit, a bag of chips & a soda may sound like a snack but thats 500 extra cals. never go 2-3 hours without eating something. people w/ high metabolisms can go catobolic easy. catabolic is when you burn muscle for energy. the more you get used to this diet, the bigger your appetite becomes. i used to eat so much i could feel my stomach stretch.

Welcome to MMSFitness, 2 things that I'd need from you:

1) please write down your eating regiment in a log for the next 5 days, i.e. times you ate what it was and weight of food (if you can't get weight go w/ portion - i.e. size of a small apple , try to give descriptions).

2) please go to your doctor this week and get a blood test for T4/t3/tsh levels and general white blood cell count and thyroid levels. Also, liver values are helpful while you're doing the testing.

The reason for #2 is due to the fact that sometimes infections (god forbid) and other factors can cause weight loss.

Can you keep your diet log from today forward (5days), and please be very specific i.e. if you say cereal list the type, oatmeal list the type, sandwich be specifc the amount of meat/tuna and bread and the type of cread. And don't forget the time.

FYI, Fitday.com is a pretty good site for keeping an eating log. It makes it easier to keep track of your calories and fat/carb/protein intake. And is simple to share out for others to see so that they can help out.

Thank you guys so much!!! Every one in my life is ready to critique me, but never offer any help. i really appreciate this...i have started keeping the diet log...do you want it day to day, or just in a lump sum at the end of 5 days??? Also, i get blood work done about once a month, because i have a lot of migrains. They always do a full work up, and say everything is ok. Would you like me to go ahead and find out the levels or range or what ever, or were you just conserned and thought that was something i should check into??? They say everything is fine, my thyroid looks good and i am not anemic....i just got blood taken about 3 weeks ago, so i could call and have a dr. give me the specifics if needed. Again, thank you!!!!

I want a log lumped for the whole 5 days...

Yes, I'd like to see a blood test done this week if you can, get your T3/T4/TSH and liver values as well as your white blood cell count.
