Okay,here's what I jokingly refer to as "Stiff-legged Squats".This is a move where you push with your traps,rather than pull.I do these between squats and deads,so I still get a pull on them from the deads.Thanks once again to mle_ii for his computer wizardry in making this movie viewable.

LOL...I get a lot of looks on MOST of the things I do...There's just not somethin' quite right with that boy...When you're starting,use like 135 or something.The main thing is to concentrate on a full ROM.It really is fun...

Pretty interesting.

I've always felt that my traps responded best to carrying heavy weights. HEAVY farmers walks and deadlifts really have an affect on my traps and they also get worked quite a bit from doing atlas stones and face pulls in the gym.

I mainly do it,cause I don't like 6 plates dangling from my wrists.I can concentrate on my traps a lot more if I don't have to think about my wrists,forearms,etc.Plus,you get used to carrying weight on your back,as b fold mentioned,so if you shrug 6 plates,when you go to squat,say 4, psycologically it feels like nothin'...

Have you ever tried doing farmers walks?

With a good pair of straps you could also do timed holds with HEAVY weights. These KILL the traps (and other things...lol).
