fresh skim milk vs long life skim milk

is there any difference between fresh skim milk and long life uht milk as the long life tastes really good and it seems that it doesnt bloat me as fresh milk does ?? whats the deal was is best to take ??

I prefer fresh, I have no science behind it just what I like. I also drink 2% or whole from time to time

I tend to stay away from to much milk, don't like the bloat it gives me, plus I'm slightly allergic to it. Sorry, I just realized my post was absolutely of no help.

BB any feedback is good feedback, dont be too critical of yourself. I drink about 32 oz of milk everyday, skim, or 2% usually. I mix ISO-AGB with Skim milk. See link in my sig for ISO-AGB, the stuff is great.

I think milk is great for calcium and protien, but there seems to be a lot of extra carbo's (sugars), too. So, to me the benefits don't outweigh the cost, so to speak.

i dunno some people don't like it but i for one love the atkin's apporved carb countdown milk made by Hood. I especially like the chocolate. it's alot thicker than regular skim milk

There shouldn't be any significant difference between a 'fresher' milk and an 'older, aged' milk as long as it lies within the expiration dates or hasn't gone sour/bad. Milk in cartons, and not plastics, are best due to the fact that both ascorbic acid and riboflavin may be destroyed due to light (specifically ultraviolet). The loss of both these vitamins will alter the taste of the milk somewhat.

That being said, i'd always opt for fresher milk than aged milk.

I don't know what might be causing the added bloat to ya. Got me on that one.
