Default Regarding dieting BMR

I find that cutting is incredibly hard for me. Would it be beneficial to use a smaller number than the equation ( kgs x 24 = k/cal (Calories)/day), maybe somewhere around 20 or 22. I am starting the carnivore diet on Monday (after a long-delayed cleanse this week) so I am interested in making this as beneficial and effective as possible. Thanks.

It's hard to say without knowing what your diet is like now. It would be helpful to know your activity level too. Just limiting calories and doing nothing else will have a negative effect on fat loss. Please post up a typical day's diet for you.

To be honest, my diet typically is garbage if I'm not dieting. Probably not the best. Usually it includes, top ramen/rice-a-roni (Im a college student) and some chicken and/or tuna. Throw in some milk and bread - sandwiches or something. I don't have a "typical" diet unfortunately, its whatever is on sale mostly. I walk a lot, probably 3+ miles a day, on/off campus. I usually work out 3+ times per week, but not lately. That will change next week. I apologize for the lack of clarity in diet/regiment, because lately there hasn't been one. But even when on a ckd/anpb, I really didn't see any loss. I was on a ckd for over 2 months without loss, and it was pretty discouraging. Don't really know what my issue is, but I followed the diet to a t, and didn't find a lot of success. I will be doing the carnivore diet and hopefully that will yield results.

I would say if you're starting a CKD diet on Monday, current week adjustments wouldn't make much difference. One main thing I suggest is lowering your carbs, remember, CKD/Carnivore are based on a low-carb regiment which is hard to follow and takes time to adjust to; thus, you will need to get yourself ready for it as much as you can. Cut out sugars/fruit and straches, leave the low-gi carbs (oatmeal/beans/veggies/wheat).

Overall, you can keep the ratios the same, just look at the carbs until the CN diet where you'll need to stick to weight x 12-13 max to drop bodyfat.
