Hittin DBS for the next 4 wks...

im switchin over to DBs for the next 4 wks. How long do u stay w/ DBs or BBs w/out switchibg it up. I like to switch it up every 4-6 wks but i hate doing it b/c thats when im putting up ome good poundage.I dont wanna plateu or stale out though.

I switch it up. I like to use dumbells especially for chest when I'm by myself. I feel like I lose a bit of strength when I go back to barbell though. I do like the increased range of motion. Dumbells also are good to help correct symmetry problems in your physique. I don't know know if I'd switch for that length of time though. 4-6 weeks seems like too long to me.

i like to use them both but do alternate exercises every 4-6 weeks

It's called cyclintg gents.....just because your weak on dumbells doesn't mean that towards the end you will not reap the benefits., Meaning that you will have proficiency in lifting that DB and I am pretty sure that you will be stronger on BB Bench.

I usually plateu out at 4 wks.....as soon as i stop gaining size and strength, i shock my body by switching it up. i do switch up the actual exercises all the time though.

One rep, ur right, 6 wks is too long though.

I use them both in my routines all the time, the most I will do is swap them out...

example: 8 weeks of BB incline, DB flat, then i will change for 8 to DB incline, BB flat...and so on

8 weeks is not a set number either, I go untill I plateua, then change it up!
