Hitting the glutes

What can I do besides stiff deads to hit my ass?
I know some peeps say deep sguats, but I get a burn just in the quads no matter the depth or stance.

I've really gotten a 'ghetto bootie" from regular squats. Also, leg presses are good. I would think that compound exercises (squats and leg presses) while really focusing on squeezing the glutes should work.

I focus on driving up through my hips when coming outta the whole on squats, and my glutes are sore after every leg day and I have the "ghetto booty" syndrome that firefighter spoke of.

I would tell you to go deep on leg presses, when you come all the way in feel it on the way up. Also walking lunges will hit the glute to hamstring tie-in. And by the way, I call it a "monkey butt"

Leg press with your feet high on the platform. Pressure on your heels.

I'll look into the sumos. I thought sumos where just wide stance...
