No, like basically what protein does is turn into fat, it's not like solid unless you workout. I heard the samething about creatine. So, basically what I'm trying to say is if I use protein shakes as a meal replacement will it turn into fat and add bad weight on or will it stay solid if I don't get a chance to workout?

Quick answer: Consume more calories than you expend and you will gain weight no matter what.
Protein does have fewer kilocalories (calories) than fat and the same as carbohydrates. Also, protein requires the most energy to digest so basically protein is the most difficult of the macronutrients to convert to fat but it can happen. Have you ever noticed you feel hot after a meal that is high in protein? That is your body actually expending energy to break down the protein you just consumed. With that said, I've never heard of anyone actually getting fat off of a mostly protein diet because most people that consume huge amounts of protein do so because they are trying to maximize their results in the gym (meaning they probably expend a lot of energy). How many couch potatoes do you know that eat lean chicken and fish to the tune of 4000 calories a day? |

Protein is made out of 22 amino acids, it has 4 Cal per gram vs fat which has 9kcal/gram 9 are considered essential(Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, and Valine, which means that you need to get a certain amount of them in your diet to function properly) . Think about it this way, a chicken breast which is protein is made out of muscle, protein in the most abundant in the muscles after water. If you keep on downing proetin shakes every minute, u r increasing your calorie intake by alot, which you will gain fat, but having couple of shakes a day on non training days, you will not gain fat.(After you train, for the next couple of days your body is repairing itself and it needs protein for that task, so by increasing your protein intake, you're basically helping your body out). As far as creatine, NO WAY you will gain fat...(water retention, yeah but not fat) Again stop listening to your friend that works out alot, ( working out frequently won't get you big, it's your diet that will make the difference)
