Midsection fat...

I have been training for years now which is kind of an accomplishment in itself, but like many people I still have that stubborn extra layer or fat around the midsection. Is diet pretty much the easiest way to try to get rid of that or is there sometime I am missing in my training perhaps. I saw some things about cortisol as a reason for holding fat around the midsection, but I don't know if that was just some BS. I'm vascular in my arms which I find strange because I am not super trim around the waist. I think I have been able to cut out some of the fat because the love handles have almost diminished completely. Any tips to help me try to get rid of this. Is AS an option for cutting up or should it all be accomplished through diet?

T3, clen...... that is what I recommend..... plus a STRICT diet and cardio regime.

Minus the T3 and clen, is it possible with a pretty strict diet? Also, I HATE cardio.

I have some extra belly fat, but my biggest problem is even when my ABs are visable, my belly still sticks out further than my chest. Yeah, I've got a long way to go and I've been down and out for a while with an injury, but I hate my belly.

Like you g3cko, everything else on me can cut up nicely except the midsection. I don't want to get down to single digit BF %, but I'd like to drop some of the extra.

I'm going to do a diet change this week and eat a lot of ANPB. I'm going to try and avoid a lot of carbs for a few weeks and see what happens. Only problem I have with that right now is that I'm starting my 4th week back in the gym and trying to rebuild the strength I've lost. I really want to be high clean carb right now for energy, I don't want to lose any weight, I want to continue to gain, but I want to shed some fat.

Plus I want to shed off some extra bodyfat before I start a test cycle. Need to rebuild strength I've lost before I start the test cycle too.

Any opinions? Comments? I'm horrible with diet because I love to eat and I love cooking. I've been pretty good the past few weeks, but it's sooooo hard because I let my diet go to shit for 8 months.

Yes... it is possible... very possible. The things I mentioned will just give you quicker and more pronounced results.
If you want that midsection tight... you better start liking cardio.... in fact... you better love it.

What you problem might be is not the adipose fat under the skin.... you may have extra fat around the organs and in the body cavity. Also... you got to really tighten the abs, obs... and the lower back to get that flat look from the side.

What does your body core exercises look like?

The only thing that scares me about the t3 is messing up my thyroid somehow. I don't really see much harm in the clen. How safe is the t3 as far as complications down the road. I guess maybe I should be *****ing more after I diet strict but until then I guess I don't really have any reason to.

What does your body core exercises look like?

My body core exercises are shit. All I'm doing at the moment is situps on a decline bench.

I'm going to set up a solid routine tomorrow and run it from here on out. I was breaking my body back in with push/pull/legs the past few weeks but I can't keep that up any longer, as deadlifting one day and squatting the next is playing hell on my lower back. I need a day between each, plus I need a day where I box squat.

When I was in boot camp, our bodies got tortured to the point of no return and ate extremely clean. In the last month of boot camp, my belly actually started to grow from working my abs all the time. Now 8 years later the more I work them the more my abs seem to want to grow.

I think you need to diet down and do high rep core work... lay off the heavy/weighted sets. Maybe... concentrate on different movements... like kneee/leg raises and twisting crunches.

I have NEVER seen any proof of sane T3 usage altering or shutting down the thyroid. I know people who use 125mcg a day for weeks and rebound w/o any complications. In fact... I am more leary of Clen and its effects on myocardial tissue than I am of T3 and its effects on the thyroid.
