Do any of you have problems sleeping after a heavy leg day? I'll do heavy squats, and it seems to overload my CNS. That night, I don't fall asleep quickly and toss and turn all night.

It depends on the time of day I do legs and how long it is before I go to bed. After a leg day though, I used to go and eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant and fill up. It wouldn't really make me sleepy, but would help me to fall asleep a little sooner.

You can try some vallerian root to help knock you out on days like this.

Being a part time herbalist, I have probably a gallon of hi proof valerian root. It still doesn't seem to do the job. I'll take a shot glass full with little results.

I'm all for that, Tarzana. I just can't get in to see my acupuncturist/chiropracter/massage therapist on a regular basis. (yeah, she does all 3 and is easy on the eyes too!)

I need a job that pays the same but with fewer hours !!

I have insomnia for long periods of time so my Dr. has prescribed me medication that I have been on for some time now........I sleep very well...
