Cutting diet for college students

I'm in college and trying to manage the cutting diet thing. Are there any of you who have successfully done this while taking classes and having a life? I'm definitely curious what you guys did and how you did it.

well for the most part my diet consisted mainly of canned tuna, just b/c it was simple no prep time. just bust a two tins open & i was off. definately prepare you meals in advanced.

We had a house rented, so had a stove, and would cook two turkeys every saturday. Then bone them and stick the meat in the fridge. Made for easy meat, and pretty cheap too. There was plenty of tuna too though.

That is a ton of turkey meat - but it sounds good and definitely on the cheap side. I'll have to look into that.

This is not something I recommend, but back in the day I ate nothing but canned tuna and mayo for about 6 months. I was flat broke, so I had to manage. I dropped 40lbs. of bodyfat and gained 5 lbs. of muscle mass.

Just shows you the power of a ketogenic diet.

I found ketogenic diet was more expensive - what am I doing wrong? What are the foods you ate which are on the "I'm stupid broke" list? Obviously tuna and mayo... anything else that I can keep eating and drop another 30 lbs?

tuna is king. i love seafood, so i would have no problem consuming fish.

Bro, I've seen your supplement list. Dump the supps and put that money towards food. Do it right and you'll thank me later. All of those powders and pills are nice, but if you don't build the foundation, what's the point in framing the house?

Most of the supps were bought for me on trading for labor, and those that I buy are minimal cost (i.e. Creatine EE at $18/kg.= $6/month, ECA @ ~$8.00/month).

Additionally, I was seeing very little results from the last time I did the ketogenic diet (ANPB and then Carnivore Diet), so I'm trying to figure out how to "do it right". I'm definitely trying to understand, and for those who have been successful, please feel free to give me clear and concise direction. I have no problem being wrong and changing. (And you never told me what is the "right" way... you said just put it toward food. Please be specific - I'm trying to understanding and would love more definitive direction.)
