my 2007 cutting diet

can sumbody please critque my proposed diet and see if my goals can be achieved, thanks in advance

Dates

2nd January 2007 – 20h May 2007 20 Weeks in total

Stats

245lbs, 5’11’’, 20%ish Body Fat

Goals

I don’t mind what ending weight I will be at the end of the 20 weeks, as I know I will be adding some muscle to my frame, but I would like to be a minimum of 5-8% body fat lower, which realistically is reducing my body fat by 1.25% a month.



Training Schedule

It will be pretty simple and straight forward method of training. I will consist of 4 days weights and 4 days of cardio twice daily 30mins morning on empty stomach and 20-30mins post work out.

Diet

As I have been instructed by Immortalis I have a BMR of 2365, so I will be aiming for around 2000-2200cals per day, some days taking a few less cals and then the next day bumping them up to stun my metabolism.

This is my basic diet, the only thing will change is my dinner and that will change from chicken/steak/tuna/turkey and a mix of diff vegs

each days it adds up to an average of 2100cals

I think my onlt downfall as mentioned above is my diet, please see my diet and tell me if im doing it right or wrong. and in general can you comment on if im approaching the situation correctly.

you're doing a lot of shakes...whey etc..

I have to ask, you on some type of tight schedule? so any diet changes would have to fit that?

do u mean a tight schedule with time or money?? well to be honest i didnt know what else to put in there instead of the shakes in order to hit my recommended cal intake. so have you any suggestions then instead of the shakes

I would just be careful like I posted on someone's else's cutting diet. Depending on how lean you want to get your caloric intake is the determining factor! You can be on a perfect diet (like I was) and still not shed any fat because the simple fact of the matter is FAT LOSS= CALORIES BURNED > CALORIE INTAKE. So obviously you want to get all your protein, but be careful about your caloric intake because that is going to be the biggest factor in your cutting diet. GL! P.S. Tuna is awesome 60 cal @ 13 g of protein!
