Anabolic journal week two..

Got my first chance to carb up last Fri & Sat...can't say I really missed it much but I did enjoy it. Anyway, I believe my body has become accustomed to low carb, hi fat and hi protein. My workouts are becoming more intense and I sweat like a stuffed pig within five minutes of doing cardio. It's like I'm in a sauna with all that sweat. Leg training Mon was hard & heavy, like I was'nt even low carbbing but I'll say it again- a lot of sweat.

Stats for 03/19
weight- 267lbs
bf%-14.9%
fat mass-39.7lbs
lean mass-approx 227 lbs (wow gaining muscle)
caloric intake hovers from 3500-2900 calories...hence the slow fat loss...body is accustomed to diet, so in a couple of weeks, I will reduce calories further to accelerate loss but spare muscle tissue.
Anticipating further 2lb loss with a small gain in muscle mass...I'll ride this train until it slows down and then I will drop calories.

hows your diet during the week?

A typical weekday is as follows...

4 whole eggs, 4 whites
4 slices of smoked ham
2 slices of cheese
(all made into an omelete cooked with olive oil)
animal pak multivitamin

protein shake w/water 1tsp flax oil

2 cans tuna water packed
1 cup green beans or asparagus
1 tsp flax oil

protein shake w/water & psyllium husk fiber
vitamin E/fish oil capsule

10oz steak either marinated or roast
1 cup spinach or green vegetable

protein shake w/water
ZMA before bed

4 aminos and 4 liver tabs accompanied all meals from Beverly International Nutrition

I will reduce calories by substituting chicken for steak and/or taking flax oil for only one of my shakes...Protein does not get reduced.

My training is twice a day for only 45min-1hr each time...cardio is done in am 30 minutes and pm 4 times a week

Take your fish oil at a different time than your psyllium. The fiber might absorb it and keep it. I recommend taking fiber away from all efa's and supps in general for this reason.

I would also recommend a bit of grapeseed oil or even corn or sunflower to provide some omega 6. The flax and fish oil is almost all omega 3. The typical diet is way to skewed to omega 6 but not yours,and you need both. Hemp seed oil contains both in the ratio recommended by the World Health Organization. It also contains GLA, which is why I recommend it in my diet.

Ok SYL... I will implement the suggestion to separate the oils from my psyllium...Im going to order some hempseed oil as well.

Hempseed oil is so good for you. Have you seen or tried the hempseed protien powder? I'm thinking about buying some.

I havent heard of a hempseed protein powder. I guess that would be something I would look into over the net because where I am they probably dont have it at the stores. If you find out before I do where it is please let me know...:bigsmile
