Do you have Somatropin in your Milk?

Given to cattle to make them produce more milk has some people wondering if it may have any effects on them or their children. Its FDA approved and widely used but there are concerns. Some states will start penalizing cattlemen for using it by charging them a fee for using it.

They said hormone on the news and I thought we had a new version of Finiplex!!!!!! Damn!

Just what we need....more price hikes!!!
I dont understand the point of charging a fee for higher output.

Bovine somatotropin (bST), or bovine growth hormone (BGH), is a protein hormone that occurs naturally in the pituitary gland of cattle. It is a factor controlling the amount of milk produced by a dairy cow. Bovine somatotropin is naturally in the milk extracted from a cow. Recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH), however, is a synthetic version of BGH that is injected into a cow to artificially increase her milk production.

LOL...I thought they were gonna say there was a type of Growth Hormone that increased muscle in cows.....I was almost on my way to Wal Mart!!!!LOL
