5-6 meals a Day - Less or No Snacking (?)

I've read some very interesting articles on protein and carbs, thanks X.

And I see how I have been keeping my body on a bad way for a long
time do to my not eating enough, and enough times a day, and I'm
consciously changing this now.

Of course everyone is different and I'll have to do what works for me,
however, in a perfect world where I wake at 8:am and crash at 2:am,

- I usually get a 2hr nap in the early evening 4:- 6: pm ~ during Rush Hr traffic :bigsmile
- and since I work from my home no one is really looking,

so 6 - 8 hours of sleep total time a day is not uncommon.

And since I snack more than I eat meals, my goal is to try to eat
on schedule from some better selected foods.

8:ish - I eat a light breakfast of fruit & whole grain, cereal maybe, juice,

11:ish - I eat a light lunch, tuna, egg whites, water,

2:ish - another light snack (?),

5:ish - eat dinner, steak, samon, chichen breast, rice, etc., ( not in my nap time :hide
- really this is my pass out time of day from not eating, so I recognize

8:ish - protein shake, whatever - eat a meal again, not chips & butterfinger, etc...

11:ish - eat something light like PBJ sandwich or something.

-- no more eating for the day...


* is Something like this schedule headed in the right direction ?

* I sware that last time I really eat good was in the military, not that the food was great, but it was regular, and I've never been able to be consistent since, and I do have health issues the VA Dr.s "can't" put their finger on, and I'm clear now I have the power, through better understanding of nutrition and frequency, to effect my health more so than those sorry lying scum, thanks to all you on this board

I used to supplement a meal with Ensure plus. Its so thick, delicious and packed with nutrition. It has as much fat as protein but I was a hard gainer so it worked out great. Wal Mart has an Equate version thats the same thing but cheaper. Id buy it by the case and no mixing, no nothing....just pop the top and drink.

Exactly. Supplement drinks are great for meal replacement. Gator made a good suggestion. Me i use a Protein Drink for replacing a meal/snack with Peanut Butter. I avoid more than 2 drinks per day

You can also try Nuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Peanuts, Sunflower Seeds etc. They are very handy if you are on the go and have to make a trip uptown. It's pretty in-expensive if you buy them per the pound. Stay away from processed nuts with sugar coatings or seasonings.

Your diet is not that bad. I never have a certain time I eat. just as long as i get 6 small meals it's all good.
