I wanna get on track with a right diet. Im not sure where to begin so here is some information
Im a bigger guy Im 23yrs old 6'3 weighing in at 330lbs. I started working out and going to gym in december when i was 395!!!. My goal is to get down to 250. I was doing great i lost the weight at a pretty fast pace and now im stuck. So i was wondering if you guys help me out for a diet on what to eat?? I like chicken and tuna salads. If you can just right me a day list on what i should be taking in that be GREAT!!!. I know that eating is the MAIN thing to working out. Maybe i should stop hitting the weights so hard and start doin more cardio? Im averaging 20-30mins a day cardio and 1hr weights 2days on 1 day off. Thanks Dan |

First off Dan during goal setting you need a long term goal-weigh 250, but you also need short term goals as well such as how many pounds you want to lose a week. Next, according to my rough calculations you burn about 4000-4500 calories a day (I assumed you slept 8 hours, watch tv for 3, and worked out for 1) , which brought me too 4571 calories a day. Therefore, 1 pound of weight loss is approximately 3500 calories, which brings me to the conclusion that if you want to drop 3-5 pounds a week you need to cut 10,500-17500 calories. An easier way to think of this is 1500-2500 should be caloric deficit a day. Alas a 2071-3071 calories a day would be your goal to achieve a healthy weight loss. As for diet chicken is good if it is skinless and tuna is also terrific without any fixin's (mustard is great). I hope this helped and at the weight you are at you should see significant loss in a matter of days (5-7) if you eat within this caloric range. GL bro!

Ok what would a day look like for me for a 2000-2500 cal diet?? I have a hard time with this stuff. So if someone has a diet made up and would mind posting it for me that be great.

What you should be looking to do is make sure your eating 5 to 6 meals a day. This way you won't overeat and it will keep your metabolism fired up.
You should also be proud of what you have attained and that you are on the right path to better health overall dropping the weight you are presently. We all hit plateus and your at one now. Best thing I could say is to up your cardio a little along with the 5 to 6 meals a day.
