Protein Shakes Good or Bad?

I take 4 cytogainer shakes a day. Which is 224 of protein a day from shakes alone. I also get around 200 to 350 grams of protein a day from food. Steaks, salmon, tuna, chix breast, etc.. Now my question is how much can you count on the shakes to help if there's days you can't get much from the food end as for as protein? Thanks in advance.

anyway..yea, the protein shakes are legitimate protein, so that is fine to use that, the real food protein is always a better descision. You can count the grams of protein you get from shakes.

4 ctyo shakes, good for you bro. I couldn't stomach more than two of those a day. But now that I have true mass I can drink the shit all day long.

That's plenty of protein jpc and certainly supplementing with shakes is perfectly fine.

I actually kind of disagree. While the protein found in protein powder is quite legitimate and just as useful as eggwhites or chicken breast, there is one other thing to consider. While most of you probably already know, and don't really care, MOST protein powders are flavoured, and thus sweetened. Well to avoid adding unneccessary calories, they add artificial sweeteners. Usually you will find aspartame, or sucralose (chlorine combined with sucrose) used as a sweetener in these mixes. These chemicals, when consumed over long periods of time ARE, harmful and cancer-causing chemicals that I personally refuse to ingest. There is a lot of data to back this up.
While, I realize that it is kind of ironic to be so against something like that, and then turn around and do a cycle of gear, I personally feel there is NO NEED for artificial sweeteners. My protein powder is KAIZEN brand %100 all natural whey protein. It has no artificial sweeteners, and it comes in Vanilla, and choco and a few others. The nice part is, it contains only one gram of sugar per scoop. REAL sugar I mean. There is absolutely NO REASON to ingest something that will only hurt you, and there is NOTHING fattening about having just a few grams of sugar per day. ( and I really do mean just a few)
Well, I guess to each his own, but it's definately something to consider. Theres my 2 cents.

That's true Martano to an extent if your buying shit protein but be assure I certainly do not.

Nutrabio which I use has no additives, no fillers, no sugars or artificial anything along with less than 2 grams of carbs and 1.5 grams of fat per scoop with 26 grams of protein. It's fresh, pure and contains an analytical lab test for every bucket with an expiration date. IMO it is very hard to beat and everyone who is supplementing protein should be taking something of this quality.

yea stay away from aspartame and sucralose ingrediants. Its a toxin. Take protein powders with no added ingrediants. I do one in the morning and one after my work out. 40 grams each.

It has better quality protein and I think it tastes better, its really smooth. It costs more though, only reason i've been getting it because its buy one get one half atm.
