processing protein?

I keep hearing that your body can only process about 20-30 grams of protein per serving and that the rest you just crap out.

Is this true?

from what i've seen there really isn't any conclusive evidence that supports EXACTLY how much protein intake can be utilized for one sitting.. the consensus i've seen is around 40-60gms. of protein can be utilized for someone that is athletic, lifting weights, etc..

it can be an argumentative subject because everyone has heard so many different things.. I personally stay around 50 or so at one time.. I would rather have a bit too much than too little to make sure i maximize muscle rebuilding..

you could always try protein digesting enzymes, before a protein heavy meal to give your digestive system a hand in processing all the protein

I take digestive proteins before I eat or drink anything. Make sure they have a high amount of protease which is the enzyme for better protein absorption.
