Default Need to lower cholesterol and blood pressure

Hey everyone back from a visit from the doctor with some blood work and am told to lower my intake of bad cholesterol and sodium in my diet. Reason I'm turning to a weightlifting forum is because I'm getting back into weight training and looking to start a cycle when my diet is balanced. I read the beginner's guide to cutting or bulking up and have a couple questions on if the 50/30/20 (carbs, proteins, and fats) is the best way to start on fat loss and for someone who is having the troubles as myself. Any input would be appreciated thanks.

cardio cardio and some cardio my friend... best thing for lowering cholesterol...

try to cook with pam instead of oil and choose low glycemic carbs such as brown rice and sweet potato. avoid white rice white pasta white bread etc... healthy fats such as avocados and mac nut oil are also great for lowering cholesterol.

Sounds good grew up using Pam so that's not an adjustment. Ya everything white was told to stay away. I have an allergy to peanuts is sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds a safe route? Keep the idea's coming please all will help. Thanks.

50/30/20 is a good spread of macro nutrients for you. I plug my foods into fitday.com account and it lists them out for you.

use egg whites instead of the yolk

white= protein
yolk= cholesterol

our body's naturally produce all of the cholesterol we need
